Sims 3 no food spoil mod3/9/2024 Otherwise this would get *incredibly* grindy to have to keep hunting for food as a primary objective. However, if such a system were to be implemented, I would like to see things like placeable teleporter beacons be implemented first so that you can easily get back up to your ship and back to where you left off. I'm not a huge fan of the idea, mainly because this isn't The Sims. Being able to produce biofuel from the monsters on a planet or from food crops would alleviate this issue. Some people were complaining that some planets don't have many trees for wood and coal is hard to find and they essentially get stranded there. It doesn't have to be just about controlling your food amount, perhaps they could make it so that spoiled food can be crafted into "Biofuel" that you can use to fuel your ship. In addition, spoiled food could add a lot of depth. Lower drop rates on meat certainly would help, I think farming is fine as it is although it really isn't any better than hunting and hunting is easier. That just is too limiting of other inventory items and there are other ways to fix the food/hunger problem that don't introduce that problem. I don't like the idea of eliminating food stacking. You also really don't need much food to get you from day to day and they put all this work into the farming/hunting system and you keep getting food surplus. I agree, just make food rot after a few day/night cycles (or perhaps whatever the length of a crop cycle, by the time you have new crops any of your old crops is spoiled).
